Have Spurs turned a corner?

Perhaps you have to hit rock bottom before springing back to life.

Tottenham were surely at their lowest ebb when a series of calamitous mistakes left them 4-0 down after just 22 minutes of their Chamipons League last-16 first leg tie away to Atletico Madrid. It came on the back of five straight Premier League losses.

But while losing 5-2 was still a terrible outcome, Spurs won the second half and perhaps just got a foothold on a season that was completely getting away from them.

And since that testing night in Madrid, they've found something. They were worthy of at least a point at Anfield even though Richarlison's equaliser came right at the death. And despite it not being enough, beating Atletico 3-2 in the second leg in midweek added another layer of confidence.

From being a 'heartless clown' who had no man management or tactical skills, Igor Tudor is suddenly being seen in a more positive light. Perhaps he did just need a few weeks to bed in. Perhaps his previous jobs in management do count for something.

Now let's see how he fares in a bona fide relegation six pointer.

Forest boosted by Euro win

Nottingham Forest will also be in better spirits after reaching their first European quarter-final in 30 years.

Trailing Midtjylland 1-0 after losing the first leg at the City Ground, Forest turned that Europa League tie around with a 2-1 win in regulation time and then won a penalty shootout 3-0 to advance to the last eight.

Focus - and tired legs - now must quickly switch back to domestic matters with Forest starting the weekend only outside the relegation zone on goal difference. Lose here and they'll be four points behind Tottenham and still in big trouble. Win and suddenly things look much, much brighter.

Forest bidding for double

Nottingham Forest won the first meeting this season 3-0 thanks to a brace from Callum Hudson-Odoi and a third via Ibrahim Sangare.

Forest are 9/43.25 to secure their fifth away win of the campaign and first Premier League success under latest boss Vitor Pereira.

Tottenham are 6/52.20 to bank three massive points while The Draw is 12/53.40.

To be honest, it's hard to get fully behind either team at those prices so, if playing the match market, the draw looks a reasonable and logical option.

Richarlison can strike again

It was no great surprise to see Richarlison get on the scoresheet at Anfield.

That's partly down to his record against Liverpool but also his reputation as a man to turn to when the chips are down.

The Brazilian's goals helped Everton avoid the drop a few years ago and that could be playing out again.

He's scored in two of Tottenham's last three Premier League games and seven goals in his last 19 matches in all competitions in a team really struggling is a decent return.

Rested after only coming on as a late, late sub in midweek - Tudor saving him for this you'd suspect - back Richarlison to score anytime at 9/52.80.

BTTS worth a bet

It's much harder to find anyone in the scorer markets for Forest although it's very fair to expect someone in red to find the net.

Tottenham have both scored and conceded in each of their last eight games while that's also been the case in four of Forest's last five away matches.

It's at the City Ground where Forest have had trouble breaking teams down; they've fired blanks at home in four of the last five.

Both teams to Score is 8/111.73 and that definitely appeals.
