Villa have the worst chance conversion rate of any team that has scored this season in the Premier League. Spurs haven't yet scored.
That tells us everything we need to know about what very possibly awaits us in North London. Naturally, Roberto De Zerbi's men could explode into life while Villa could do similar, leaving the capital with the points, as they did a year ago.
But if both teams stay true to form - or even in its vicinity - then a low-scoring encounter full of laboured build-up play will be endured rather than enjoyed.

Enough with the pessimism. In the North-East, in the traditional Saturday kick-off slot, a goal-fest feels imminent.
Hull were surprisingly adventurous at Stamford Bridge last weekend and were rewarded for it, converting twice. They will be encouraged by Newcastle's defensive frailties this season, Matthias Jaissle's side facing a league-high number of shots (76) with an xGA of 7.6.

As for the hosts, they typically serve up entertainment at St James Park. Indeed, in each of the last two seasons the venue has produced more goals - for and against combined - than anywhere else.
Their two home games thus far have conjured up two 2-2 draws.
Don't be surprised, however, if the goals take their time coming. Newcastle have taken on the second lowest number of first-half shots, Hull the third fewest.

Granted, there is a 3-4 loss to Luton to factor in, but the Royals have been prolific at the Madejski Stadium this term, scoring 11 in three. County meanwhile have found League One tough going so far, accumulating draws that may not ultimately be enough to stave off a sustained relegation scrap.
What doesn't help their cause is a propensity to concede first, going behind on six occasions already. Reading to score the first goal is a great builder add at 4/71.57
As for the result, the home side's free-scoring in Berkshire is persuasive.

Last season's meetings produced a six-goal thriller on the opening day at Anfield followed by a 3-2 home win on the South Coast and backing both teams to score makes all kinds of sense, despite the Reds boasting consecutive clean sheets.
All four of Bournemouth's fixtures to date have seen both sides get on the score-sheet while Liverpool's shut-out at Portman Road was their first on the road since February.
With the Cherries averaging six shots on target per 90 - and Marcus Tavernier accounting for a third of them - we can expect the visitor's rearguard to be troubled throughout, or exposed if we're being unkind.
Backing a goal to be scored in both halves also appeals, with that occurring in each Bournemouth game to this point.
