Premier League Matchday 6 Opta Stats and Tips

Arsenal v Leeds - Back Gunners to win to nil

Saturday 10 October, 12:30, Live on TNT

The Opta Stat: Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has won all four his Premier League games against Leeds United's Daniel Farke, his joint-best 100%-win rate against a manager in the top-flight (level with Gary O'Neil), and Farke's worst 100%-loss rate against a manager during his league career in England.

Betfair Bet: Back Arsenal to win to nil @ 11/102.11

Aston Villa v Brentford - Back Bees to sting Villa again

Saturday 10 October, 15:00

The Opta Stat: Brentford's Keith Andrews could become only the sixth manager to win each of his first three top-flight meetings with Aston Villa's Unai Emery after José Mourinho, Luis Enrique, Michael Laudrup, Philippe Montanier, and Brendan Rodgers. Rodgers and Pep Guardiola are the only two to beat the Spaniard in each of their first three Premier League meetings.

Betfair Bet: Back Brentford win and Both Teams to Score @ 10/34.33

Chelsea v Bournemouth - Back goals at the Bridge

Saturday 10 October, 15:00

The Opta Stat: Chelsea's five league games under Xabi Alonso have seen 22 total goals (F10 A12), with only David Moyes in 2002 (25) and Nigel Adkins in 2012 (24) seeing more scored in their first five Premier League matches as a manager. The Spaniard's six managerial meetings with Bournemouth's Marco Rose have averaged 3.8 goals-per-game (F12 A11).

Bournemouth have gone winless in five to start a Premier League campaign for only the second time, after 2023-24 (D3 L2 in both); Marco Rose is the second manager to fail to win their first five top-flight matches with the Cherries alongside his predecessor Andoni Iraola (first nine).

Betfair Bet: Back Chelsea win and over 3.5 goals @ 12/53.40

Ipswich v Fulham - Back both teams to strike twice

Saturday 10 October, 15:00

The Opta Stat: Ipswich (8.98) and Fulham (9.12) are two of the four sides with the highest xG against in the Premier League so far this season, along with Crystal Palace (9.46) and Newcastle United (9.05) - the Tractor Boys have also conceded in each of their previous 24 Premier League games, and could become only the 10th side to do so in 25 successive matches in the competition.

Betfair Bet: Back Both Teams to Score 2 or More @ 19/54.80

Sunderland v Brighton - Back Groß to score or assist

Saturday 10 October, 15:00

The Opta Stat: In 2026, only Bruno Fernandes (98) and Dominik Szoboszlai (58) have created more chances than Brighton's Pascal Groß (54), while ranking sixth for expected assists (4.68). He could also become only the second midfielder to both score and assist in three successive Premier League games, after Cesc Fàbregas in September 2007.

Betfair Bet: Back Groß to score or assist @ 15/82.88

Man Utd v Tottenham - Back Mbeumo as both teams score

Saturday 10 October, 17:30, Live on Sky Sports

The Opta Stat: Manchester United's Bryan Mbeumo has been involved in seven goals in his last six Premier League appearances against Tottenham Hotspur (6 goals, 1 assist), netting home and away against them last season.

Crystal Palace v Nottm Forest - Back Glasner to make winning return

Saturday 11 October, 14:00, Live on Sky Sports

The Opta Stat: Nottingham Forest have only lost one of their last seven away league games (W4 D2), scoring 2+ goals in all seven of these outings, their longest ever such run in the top-flight. There have been just seven previous occasions of any side scoring multiple times in 8+ consecutive away Premier League matches, most recently Bournemouth from November 2024 to February 2025.

Betfair Bet: Back Forest win and score Over 1.5 goals @ 11/53.20

Hull v Everton - Back hosts to limit Toffees' attack

Saturday 11 October, 14:00, Live on Sky Sports

The Opta Stat: Hull City are the only team yet to concede at home in the Premier League this season. The Tigers could become only the third newly promoted side to keep a clean sheet in each of their first three home games of a Premier League campaign, after Swansea in 2011-12 (first 4) and Watford in 2015-16 (3).

Betfair Bet: Back Everton to score Under 1.5 goals @ 4/61.67

Liverpool v Man City - Back Haaland and Isak to score

Saturday 11 October, 16:30, Live on Sky Sports

The Opta Stat: The top two scorers in this season's Premier League are Manchester City's Erling Haaland (5 goals) and Liverpool's Alexander Isak (4), who both also lead the league for expected goals (Haaland 4.4, Isak 3.5).

Coventry v Newcastle - Back Sky Blues home drought to continue

Monday 13 October, 20:00, Live on Sky Sports

The Opta Stat: Coventry have lost both of their home Premier League games this season by an aggregate score of 0-6. Only five sides in the competition's history have lost each of their opening three home matches of a campaign without scoring: Everton in 2005-06, Crystal Palace in 2017-18, Burnley in 2020-21, Wolves in 2021-22, and Everton in 2023-24.

Betfair Bet: Back Newcastle win to nil @ 16/54.20
