Football Bet of the Day: Bremen to win Bundesliga six-pointer

Yesterday's bet is still a live one at the time of writing. Soon as it's done you can repair the damage/make further hay in Germany this afternoon. Our old mate Kev has got most of the Bundesliga covered this weekend, but he wouldn't stoop to the bottom-of-the-table clash that's caught our eye.

Third-bottom Werder Bremen host second-bottom Hamburg at Weserstadion and we fear for the visitors. Home and away, Hamburg are winless in 10, picking up just three points from a possible 30. On the road, they are W1-D2-L8 this term, with the solitary success coming right back in August. Since then, they've failed to even score in 8/10, while conceding at least twice in 7/10.

Bremen have won this fixture in four of the last five seasons. The Green and Whites are currently unbeaten in six on home turf (W3-D3-L0). Most recently, they beat lowly Wolfsburg 3-1 and we fancy they can achieve something similar against even weaker opposition today.
