"Despite Flamengo's lofty position in the table, they're seven games without a win away from home"
In Brazil, the Bullet Train are speeding towards goals again, says Tobias Gourlay
Vasco da Gama v Flamengo
Saturday 23:00
We got the goals we wanted in China yesterday lunchtime. But last night's fiesta in Spain was more of a siesta, as Rayo Vallecano sneaked past Huesca 1-0.
Today, we're in Brazil. One of tonight's Serie A games pitches 17th-placed Vasco da Gama at home to fourth-placed Flamengo. Despite Flamengo's lofty position in the table, they're seven games without a win away from home and we're not sure they'll have everything their own way in Rio this evening.
Last time out at home, Vasco went down 0-3 to Santos, but that was the first time in 12 matches this season that the Bullet Train had failed to score on their own patch. At the other end, they've managed just a couple of clean sheets, which means both teams have scored in 9/12 of those matches.
Flamengo have found the back of the net of 10/12 on the road this term. We've got no problem with them scoring again tonight. And, at the other end, their bad defensive form (no clean sheets in any of those seven winless away games) means we've got no problem with their hosts scoring too. At 2.305/4, the price on Both Teams to Score looks a generous one.
