Football Bet of the Day: Defences to be slayed in Sochi

In Scotland last night, Inverness beat Queen of the South 3-1 to land our BTTS bet.

We're looking for a similar result in Russia this afternoon. Earlier this season, Sochi and FC Orenburg shared the goals in a 1-1 draw in Orenburg. Today they meet in Sochi and we like the even money about both teams scoring again.

Going back into last season, 16 of Orenburg's last 19 Russian Premier League away matches have produced goals at both ends. This season, they are running 11th in the 16-team league but have still scored 12 times across 10 road trips (W3-D2-L5). Even though Sochi are rock bottom of the league, Orenburg are outsiders, but we fancy they can at least score today - as they have done in 17/19 away games.

Promoted last season, Sochi are a predictably poor W2-D2-L6 on home turf in the current campaign. However, they have scored in all of their last five appearances at the Fisht Olympic Stadium. Four of those five games delivered BTTS and, with such strong support from Orenburg's side of the ledger, we're taking the even money about both teams finding the back of the net this afternoon.
