Sirius have lit up the Allsvenskan with some very high-scoring home games this season, reports Tobias Gourlay
Sirius v Falkenbergs
Friday 18:00
At the time of writing, Urawa Red Diamonds and Cerezo Osaka are yet to kick-off in their J-League match. We'll report back on what happened over there tomorrow. In the meantime, we've come to Sweden for tonight's sole game from the top-flight Allsvenskan.
In their second season back at the top table, 12th-placed Sirius have won just two of their first 11 home matches this season. But they have had some fun along the way to that underwhelming record: five of the 11 games have delivered Over 2.5 Goals - and all five of those high scorers also got to Over 3.5 Goals. Last time out at Studenternas IP, they lost 3-4 to Orebro. That was the fourth match they'd lost either 2-4 or 3-4.
Visiting Falkenbergs are in their first season back in the Allsvenskan. They are two places below their hosts and third bottom overall. No fewer than seven of their first 11 away matches have produced Over 3.5 Goals. They have picked up three points from a possible 33, scoring 11 times themselves. At the other end, they have conceded at least three times in 7/11 and at least four times in 4/5.
In short, Falkenbergs look ripe to concede even against lowly Sirius. And when Sirius have scored at home this term, 5/7 matches have hit Over 3.5 Goals, which is on offer at an appealing 2.707/4 for this evening's clash.
