There will be no standoff in Mexico tonight, says Tobias Gourlay, as Tigres visit Santos Laguna
Santos Laguna v Tigres
Monday 00:30
A remarkable result yesterday in Finland, where Lahti beat IFK Mariehamn 6-2. Our hopes were rendered forlorn early on, but we've come to Mexico today to renew our naturally sunny optimism.
Tigres won their first match of the new Primera Division season 5-0 and we fancy them to trouble their hosts for this evening, Santos Laguna. The home side drew their opening game 2-2 at Lobos and we think there'll be goals at both ends of Corona Stadium tonight.
Jose De La Torre's men have scored in 14/14 there under the current boss and should extend that record against visitors who have conceded in 8/12 on the road. At the other end, Santos have managed only five clean sheets playing at home for De La Torre and we don't expect them to add a sixth tonight.
