Villarreal are on their way to the Eternal City and Tobias Gourlay doesn't think they're going to have much fun there
Roma v Villarreal
Thursday 18:00 (Live on BT Sport Extra)
Valencia did more than just annoy Real Madrid in Spain last night. Los Che blew La Liga's title race slightly open with a 2-1 win. We'd be pleased for them, if we hadn't been on the wrong side of them.
There's a Spanish accent to today's game, though it takes place in Italy. Roma are 4-0 up on Villarreal after the first leg of their Europa League and the aggregate score could get even worse for the Spaniards this evening.
Roma have won their last two Serie A home games 4-0 and 4-1. Earlier this season, the Giallorossi scored 11 times in three group-stage appearances at the Stadio Olimpico.
Villarreal have conceded nine times in five Europa League away games since April. They went W1-D3-L1 through those matches, but the opposition was not of Roma's calibre - with the exception, perhaps, of Liverpool, who inflicted a 3-0 defeat.
