Football Bet of the Day: Goals to flow for the Big River

A great result on Crete yesterday as OFI and Atromitos drew 1-1 to land our odds-against BTTS bet. We're betting on goals again today as we head to Portugal for tonight's Primeira Liga match between Rio Ave and Tondela.

Rio Ave are old favourites of the column, having served up Over 2.5 Goals in 7/10 home matches - and in a league that's traditionally short on goals. They drew their last match at Estadio do Rio Ave 0-0 but, having scored in 9/10 and conceded in 8/10, we fancy the Big River can put on a show again this evening.

Visiting Tondela have produced 29 goals across their first nine away games of the season. The Gold and Greens are yet to keep a clean sheet on the road this term, most recently conceding at least twice in 5/6. At the other end, they've scored at least twice themselves in 4/6.

Since Tondela returned to Portugal's top flight in 2016, both teams have scored in all seven of their meetings with Rio Ave and, with both sides currently looking very shaky at the back, we fancy tonight's clash can get up and Over 2.5 Goals.
