These two drew 2-2 in the group stages of the Confederations Cup and Tobias Gourlay fancies them to sign off with another high scorer...
Portugal v Mexico
Sunday 13:00
Portugal and Mexico finish the 2017 Confederations Cup where they started it. Their opening group match finished 2-2 and, even though Cristiano Ronaldo has been given special leave to miss this third-place playoff, we like the price on them serving up another four-goal thriller in Moscow this afternoon.
The last three third-place playoffs in this tournament have delivered Over 3.5 Goals (2-2, 2-2 and 3-3) and so have 4/7 similar games at World Cups.
Portugal showed they have goals in them, despatching New Zealand 4-0 in their final group game, while Mexico have shown fragility in defence. El Tri have conceded eight times in their four matches out in Russia so far. We wouldn't disagree with Portugal's status as favourites, but we're ready to take on the market and back Over 3.5 Goals at a generous odds-against price.
