Metz did indeed meet their match last night. But only just. PSG beat them 3-2, which wasn't enough to cover our handicap bet.

We hobble to the east coast of America today for the MLS game between New England and San Jose Earthquakes.

Going back to last season, New England have won six on the bounce at Gillette Stadium and start as odds-on favourites to take all three points tonight. In all six of those successes, the margin of victory has been at least a couple of goals and we fancy them to win with something to spare again this time.

San Jose have lost their first two road games of this season, extending a losing streak that began last term to five. New England is not the place for them to snap it.
