Vincent Kompany might have had a fine career as a defender, but his Anderlecht team remains very dodgy at the back, says Tobias Gourlay
KV Oostende v Anderlecht
Friday 19:45
In Norway yesterday, Lillestrom beat Strommen 1-0 and happily for us the only goal came after 21 minutes, so our Half Time/Full Time bet on the hosts was a winner.
In the Friday-night game from Belgium's top-flight First Division A, Oostende host Anderlecht and, though the visitors are odds-on favourites, we fancy both teams to score - just like they have done in 8/12 of this pair's league meetings since 2016.
Oostende have managed just one point from a possible nine through the first three rounds of the new season. At the Versluys Arena their one previous outing brought a 1-2 defeat to Beerschoot. A similar scoreline is a distinct possibility tonight. Last season, the hosts scored at least once in 11/15 home games and they should fancy their chances of notching once more against Anderlecht's leaky backline.
Vincent Kompany's visitors have conceded in 3/3 at home and away this term. On the road last season, the Purple & Whites drew their very first away game of the campaign 0-0 then proceeded to concede on 10/13 further road trips. Early signs from the new season are that Kompany has not tightened up the backline, so we'll take BTTS to land in tonight's clash.
