With little to play for, Kayserispor can make the visit of Akhisar an entertaining one, says Tobias Gourlay
Kayserispor v Akhisar Bld Spor
In the Land of Silver, Kev had to settle for the second-best outcome to yesterday's bet. Velez Sarsfield took the lead against Argentinos Juniors - thanks to one Mauro Zarate - but were pegged back and the game finished 1-1. With his stake returned, Kev stays nicely in profit for the calendar year.
He'll be back next week. In the meantime, our shift kicks off in Turkey. There's just one round of the Super League season to go after this one and Kayserispor are comfortable in ninth place. Eight points and six places further back, Akhisar need one more point to make themselves safe.
There's a danger that Akhisar will play for the draw, but we are going to be brave in the face of it. Kayserispor's last five home games have each brought Over 2.5 Goals and we're backing another high scorer at an odds-against price. The Anatolian Star have scored three times on their own in three of those matches, while conceding at least twice every time. Two matches against teams just below Akhisar in the table both finished 3-2 to the hosts.
For their part, Akhisar have scored in 7/9 on the road recently. Five of those matches went Over 2.5 Goals in total and that record too suggests a touch of value about the price on three match goals or more tonight.
