Football Bet of the Day: Rangers to ravage Hibs

In Romania last night, Botosani stopped Dinamo in their tracks, beating them 1-0 to bring down our BTTS bet.

We're on the comeback trail in Scotland. On Wednesday we successfully backed Celtic to win an away match with something to spare. Tonight we're backing eternal rivals Rangers to do the same. Steven Gerrard's men travel to sixth-placed Hibernian needing all three points to reduce the gap to Celtic to two points. The Glasgow outfit won the reverse fixture 6-1 and we like the odds-against price on them winning by at least a couple of goals tonight.

Rangers are W7-D2-L0 on the road this season, beating all of the four teams now surrounding Hibs in mid-table. The margin of victory has been at least a couple of goals in all of the most recent five successes.

Hibs are a relatively solid W3-D5-L1 at Easter Road this season. However, they have conceded twice in 5/9 and look vulnerable against visitors who have scored at least twice in each of their last five away games. At the other end, Rangers have conceded only five times across nine road trips this season and we think Hibs will struggle to match them blow-for-blow tonight.
