Football Bet of the Day: There's Norway to stop the goals in Oslo

The party fizzled out early in Sweden yesterday. Hammarby and Assyriska was comfortably 1-1 by half-time but, alas, that was to be the full-time score too. So Scandinavia owes us something.

Valerenga are fifth in Norway's top flight, with a chance to go fourth with a win at home to Stabaek this evening.

The self-proclaimed Pride of Oslo are unbeaten at the Ullevallen Stadion this term and might well take all three points from visitors who have lost 5/7 on the road, but once more it's the goals markets that have grabbed our attention.

That's largely because Stabaek - currently 11th in the 16-team league - are scoring more goals per away game (nine in seven) than anyone else in the wrong half, while Valerenga are hitting the back of the net at home more often than anyone except runaway leaders Molde (17 in seven).

Since Bob Bradley's power grab in the most recent off-season, six of Stabaek's seven road games have produced Over 2.5 Goals in total, with the Blue Ones notching themselves in 6/7.

Kjetil Rekdal's been in charge of Valerenga a year longer. Go back to the start of the 2013 Tippeligaen and 17/22 at Ullevallen have produced three goals or more, including 6/7 this season. Valerenga themselves have scored at least twice in 6/7.

Add those two to Stabaek's consolation and, if our calculators are right, that's at least three match goals to look forward to tonight.
