Football Bet of the Day: Sassuolo to upset Fiorentina just a little

'Blown away' might have been a bit strong, but Sevilla breezed past Deportivo 2-0 yesterday evening to put us into profit for the week. For our final turn, we're putting that profit on the line in Italy, where one of this afternoon's Serie A games has given us something we like - and at slightly bigger odds than we'd normally get involved with.

Twelfth-placed Fiorentina are odds-on favourites to win at home to 16th-placed Sassuolo, but the hosts might not have everything their own way at the Artemio Franchi.

Stefano Pioli's men are only W3-D1-L2 on home turf this term, but the defeats came against much better sides than Sassuolo (Roma and Sampdoria). They've taken 10 points from 12 hosting teams from outside the current top six.

Giuseppe Iachini is new to the Sassuolo job and will at least hope to continue the Black and Greens' run of scoring in 24/26 away games since the start of last season. Despite that good record, they're W9-D4-L13 at the final whistle of those games. Take away the trips to bottom-three sides and they're W4-D4-L13.

Both teams have scored in each of the last five league meetings between these two and we like the generous price on Fiorentina to win, but concede, on Sunday afternoon - just like they did here last season (2-1) and the season before that (3-1).
