Football Bet of the Day: Basel might not teach Young Boys a lesson

We were cruelly denied our half-time draw at the last possible moment in Korea this morning. Seongnam Ilhwa struck in the minute they like to call 45+2 to nab a 1-0 lead, then went on to win-- well, who cares?

This afternoon we're off to Switzerland. After just three rounds of the new campaign, last season's top two have already risen to the top of the Super League. Tonight, reigning champions and league leaders FC Basel host perennial rivals Young Boys, but we're not as excited as most about their clash.

Basel have shut out Young Boys in each of their last three meetings at St Jakob-Park, which has seen just three goals in total across those encounters. There's a big price on another low scorer this time around and we're happy to take it.

Since Adolf Hutter took charge of Young Boys they've seen 8/15 away games finish with Under 2.5 Goals. Urs Fischer's Basel are more used to Over 2.5 Goals, but a lot of those goals have come in the course of easy home wins. Young Boys are better than most and we're ready to punt on a closer game than many expect tonight.
