Sydney 1 Central Coast 0 in Australia this morning, which means the home side maintained their fine form but failed to beat the handicap we set them.

In search of some fine form of our own, we're headed to Spain for the Friday-night La Liga game between ninth-placed Espanyol and 12th-placed Las Palmas. Only four points separate the two sides but we've found some compelling reasons to believe the hosts will triumph this evening.

Quique Flores and his Parakeets have lost just once in 10 at the Cornella-El Prat, taking all three points from five of the last seven. In that time, they're W4-D1-L0 hosting teams below them in the table.

For today's game, Las Palmas will miss the stabilising influence of Roque Mesa in midfield, as well as the attacking threat of Marko Livaja. Although the Canary Islanders earned a 3-3 draw at Real Madrid on their last away day, that only improved their record on the road to W1-D3-L8 this term. The solitary win came all the way back in August and we don't fancy them to add to it this evening.
