Tobias Gourlay's on his way back to Barcelona, where he fancies Espanyol can make a good week a great one
Espanyol v Deportivo La Coruna
Sunday 11:00 (Live on Sky Sports Red Button)
We began this week in Catalonia, and that's where we'll be spending Sunday morning too. Espanyol got us off to a good start with a 2-1 win over Celta Vigo, and we fancy the Parakeets can notch another home win against low-flying Deportivo La Coruna this weekend.
We mentioned it on Monday and we'll mention it again now: last season, Espanyol went W7-D4-L2 hosting teams that finished the campaign seventh and below. Not bad for a mid-table outfit like Quique Flores' - and too much, we fancy, for a Deportivo La Coruna outfit that is W1-D8-L12 away from home since the start of last season.
There are a few draws in that record of Depor's, but don't be afraid. They won most of them against weaker hosts than Espanyol, going W1-D3-L1 against teams that finished alongside them in the bottom six last term. Against the rest of the league, they were a ferociously modest W0-D4-L10.
Espanyol played Villarreal as recently as Thursday, while Depor had an extra day to recover from La Liga's midweek round, but the odds-against price on the hosts is still too tempting to ignore.
