Football Bet of the Day: Cittadella to crush Ascoli

In Italy last night, Torino single-handedly helped us land a fourth straight winner with a 3-0 win over Genoa. The hosts move eight points clear of the drop zone, while their visitors stay just a single point ahead of the relegation places.

Today we've come to the north-east of our new favourite country for Cittadella's Serie B clash with Ascoli. With four rounds of the season to go, the sixth-placed hosts are four points off the final promotion spot, so should be going all out for the win this evening. At even money, we fancy they can get it against 14th-placed opposition.

Roberto Venturato's Cittadella are W5-D1-L2 hosting teams now in the bottom half of the table. Visiting Ascoli are W3-D2-L12 on the road this season. Most recently, they've lost eight of their last ten - only avoiding defeat on trips to Cosenza and Livorno, who are now bottom and second-bottom. Cittadella look a step up from that level and we reckon Ascoli could come up short.
