Football Bet of the Day: Akhisar to anger the Crocodiles

There was some splendid entertainment from the depths of Serie B yesterday. Salernitana had a man sent off after seven minutes, conceded the resulting penalty, recovered to be drawing 2-2 at half-time, before shipping three unanswered second-half goals to give Carpi the win they needed.

Our final trip of this week is to Turkey, where Bursaspor's Super Lig basement battle with Akhisar Belediye could throw up a few goals. Sixteenth-placed Bursaspor won the reverse fixture 4-2 and start as odds-on favourites for this one, but 18th-placed Akhisar look capable of finding the net themselves.

Samet Aybaba's Bursaspor are a modest W4-D6-L5 at the Timsah Arena this term. The Green Crocodiles are currently on a run of just one clean sheet from 10 home matches. They've conceded at least twice in half of those 10 games.

Cem Kavcak's Akhisar have been even creakier on the road this term, notching just a single clean sheet from 14 away matches. At the other end, they've scored in 10/14, including five of the most recent six. Even if we don't think they'll win this afternoon, we do fancy they can find a way past the home defence and land a Both Teams to Score bet.
