Metz 1 Sochaux 0 in Ligue 2 yesterday. We'd like to blame the home side's first-half red card for the game not delivering the goals we hoped for. But perhaps it was just our naturally optimistic personality bubbling over.

That won't happen today. We're back across this side of the Channel for the tepidly anticipated Championship game at Ewood Park tonight.

Paul Lambert's Blackburn are now winless in four and might struggle to break down visiting Queen's Park Rangers.

Rovers have failed to score in any of those four matches. Thank goodness they've only conceded three times in their last six at home and away. Four of those six games have been goalless at the break and that's our bet today.

QPR's games have been higher scoring overall under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink: 14 total goals in six matches so far. However, 13 of the 14 have come after half-time.
