Football Bet of the Day: Achilles to keep Oss at heel

No one partied that hard in Brazil yesterday. Palmeiras might do eventually, as a 1-1 draw keeps them on the title track, but it's Friday today and we need our fix more quickly.

At first glance, the Dutch Eerste Divisie's Achilles 29 and FC Oss look like a couple of attack-first teams who might be able to help. But, unlike most of you on the Exchange, we have our doubts.

Bottom-of-the-table Achilles have (unsurprisingly, perhaps) scored fewer goals than anyone else in the league this term. Across the last five rounds of the season, they've struck just once - and four of those five games have finished with Under 2.5 Goals in total.

At Sportpark De Heikant, Eric Meijers' men have scored five times in six appearances since the start of the campaign. Going back into last season, they've scored more than once in just 1/11 there.

Francois Gesthuizen's visitors are second bottom, and barely more prolific when they're forced to hit the road. They've notched four goals in six away games so far, failing to score at all in half of those outings.

With the pair's two meetings last season throwing up just three match goals in total, we're going against the odds and settling in for a quiet Friday night.
