Scottish showdown should be fun
Hibernian v St Johnstone
Tuesday 24 November, 19:00
We were probably a little too conservative in Portugal last night, as Sporting's 7-1 win at Sacavenense covered our -2 Asian Handicap bet with room to spare. That said, three of those goals came in the last five minutes as the hosts faded like broken robots.
We'll make a rare trip to Scotland this evening, home of such delights as shortbread, Irn-Bru and Limmy (I sound like I'm taking the mick, but I actually love all of those). Hibernian are up against St Johnstone, and I think there could be goals on the menu.
Hibernian are having a fine season under former Sunderland boss Jack Ross. The Edinburgh club are fourth, just five points behind champions Celtic, who they pushed hard in a 2-2 draw at the weekend. Indeed, Hibs have scored at least twice in their last three league games at Easter Road, including a 2-2 draw with leaders Rangers. If you look at Hibs' last 13 top-flight home games, ten of them have seen an Over 2.5 Goals bet land.
St Johnstone are more circumspect, and are eighth in the division. However, bear in mind that they won 5-3 at Hamilton in their most recent away game in the league, and five of their last seven road matches in all competitions have featured three goals or more.
I think Over 2.5 Goals is over-priced at 2.486/4, so that's the way I'm going.
