Saturday Sports Multiple: Back the draw at Stamford Bridge

Arsenal can stop Chelsea’s revival on Saturday

"But although the Gunners haven’t been too impressive this season so far, they have kept things tight at the back, conceding just one goal in their five Premier League games."

Andrew Hughes thinks Arsenal can hold Chelsea to a draw and help to land another weekend multiple in the process

Bet 1: Back Arsenal to draw with Chelsea at 3.55/2

Arsenal have a poor recent record against Chelsea and in their last two trips to Stamford Bridge have conceded eight goals without reply, but they are capable of securing a point against a home side that may be turning the corner.

Chelsea fielded a reshuffled line-up for their victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv midweek, as Michael Cox explains in his Big Match Tactical View, and Jose Mourinho will be hopeful of building on that success against a title rival, particularly as Arsenal had a long trip back from Zagreb on Wednesday and have had even less preparation time than the home side.

But although the Gunners haven't been too impressive this season so far, they have kept things tight at the back, conceding just one goal in their five Premier League games. It's also worth noting that the last three meetings between these sides have produced only three goals. An entertaining but scrappy draw is on the cards.

Bet 2: Back Bradford to beat Leigh at 2.3527/20

With two games to go in the Super League Qualifiers, the battle for a spot in the Million Pound game is intensifying. Bradford are currently in fifth spot, two points ahead of Leigh, who will be hopeful of closing that gap against their Championship rivals.

Both sides suffered defeat last time, but although Bradford will be disappointed by their second half capitulation in Hull, Leigh's loss to fellow second tier side Halifax was a major blow. The Centurions have under-performed in the Qualifiers so far and I fancy Bradford to edge this one.

Bet 3: Back San Francisco to beat Arizona at 1.444/9

These sides have been closely matched this season with seven of their sixteen games decided by a single run, but San Francisco Giants have won three of their last four as they push for a Wild Card place and can edge out the Diamondbacks.

Arizona still have an outside chance of grabbing that spot, but their form is only moderate, having lost five of their last eight and they are up against an in-form Madison Bumgarner, who pitched the third one-hit game of his career last Saturday. Back Giants for the win.
