It really was a case of Ukraine pain for Gent, as they lost their Champions League qualifier 2-1 at home to our pick Dynamo Kyiv. A red card early in the second half did the Belgians no favours.

We ramp up the glamour even further tonight, because continental champions Bayern Munich are looking to add the UEFA Super Cup to their glittering array of trophies, as they take on Europa League winners Sevilla in Budapest.

Sevilla have lost some key players since that glorious 3-2 final win over Inter Milan in Cologne. Rampaging left-back Sergio Reguilon is now a Tottenham player, and even more importantly, midfield conductor Ever Banega has made a tearful departure. There have also been notable acquisitions - Sporting's Marcos Acuna will look to fill the Reguilon-shaped hole at left-back, Ivan Rakitic's return brings quality and experience to midfield, and attacking midfielder Oscar Rodriguez has been snapped up from Real Madrid after he had an excellent loan spell at Leganes.

Bayern arrive in Hungary with a 22-match winning streak behind them, and they are fresh from an 8-0 demolition of Schalke in their Bundesliga opener. New signing Leroy Sane sparkled on his debut, scoring a goal and setting up two others, while the ever-improving Serge Gnabry grabbed his first Bundesliga hat-trick.

As our European football expert Andy Brassell has suggested in his latest Betfair column, Sevilla are no pushovers. While I think Bayern's quality will tell here, I'm not convinced they'll find it that easy to break Sevilla down. Coach Julen Lopetegui has made the Andalusians hard to beat. Their last loss was back in early February, and since then just five of their 21 competitive games have featured more than four goals. They haven't conceded more than twice in a match since a bizarre 3-1 defeat at lowly Mirandes in the Copa del Rey in January. Bayern's Champions League semi-final and final wins both featured fewer than four goals.
