The Opta stats point to Poland exploiting Czech Republic's defensive shortcomings to qualify, argues Michael Lintorn...

Poland's six wins against the Czechs have come in their last six games on home turf against them
Opta note that though Czech Republic have historically had the better of this fixture, Poland have made home advantage count in recent meetings. Their feat in outperforming Group A favourites Russia in the second half on Tuesday indicates that they are more than capable of claiming the victory that will guide them into the quarter-finals. The combination of two Opta insights enhance their case: no team have ever drawn their three group matches and just one host has exited without a win (Austria in 2008).

Petr Cech has conceded five goals from only six shots on target so far in this tournament
It has been a miserable tournament for the player who contributed as much as anyone to Chelsea's Champions League final triumph against Bayern Munich. He has been at least partially at fault for three of the five goals that his nation have allowed past them to become the second most scored-against goalkeeper in European Championship history (in good company given that Peter Schmeichel is first). His form has been nowhere near strong enough to suggest that he is fit for another round of host-hope deflating to follow his Allianz Arena heroics.

No side has ever had the same result in all three group stage matches at the Euros (Poland have had two 1-1s so far)
The scoreline might change, but don't be surprised if the Group A constant of every country both conceding and netting in each of their games - in dramatic contrast to expectations before things got going - is sustained. Both teams know that only three points will secure their spot in the quarter-finals, so a fairly attacking contest appears likely. Ten of the first 12 Euro 2012 matches have seen both goalkeepers beaten, yet you can still get close to evens on the trend being maintained.

Recommended Bets:
Back Poland to win @ 2.3411/8
Back Poland to score two or more @ 2.8815/8
Back both teams to score @ 1.875/6
