Alan Dudman has two weekend trebles in the EFL
League One
Lincoln was one of the single winners in Tuesday's column with an emphatic 6-0 win against Cambridge and are very much on the charge at the moment with seven wins from their last nine (other two draws).
Garry Monk had taken charge of Cambridge, and it looks a bad job to take with the U's down to 20th now, but Lincoln form is ultra-impressive - conceding nothing and scoring plenty. Indeed, they hammered Barnsley away last Saturday 1-5, and the Tykes were 5/61.84 favourites for that.
Lincoln have lost just two of their last 12 Football League games against Bristol Rovers (W5 D5), including each of the last four (W3 D1).
KEY OPTA STAT: Lincoln City have won each of their last two Football League games (5-1 v Barnsley and 6-0 v Cambridge), while the last side in the top four tiers to score 5+ goals in three successive games were Fulham in January 2022.
Peterborough were another to deliver for a single on Wednesday with a win against promotion rival Stevenage scoring three, but I don't see Saturday's huge match with the leaders Portsmouth being so richly endowed with goals.
Pompey did run out 3-1 winners at Fratton Park earlier in the season, but of late on the road they are not scoring, and have netted just once in their last three games with two 0-0s.
I quite like the draw outright here too at 5/23.50 as there isn't much between the two especially as Portsmouth have lost just two of their last 25 away league games (W12 D11), keeping a clean sheet in five of their last six such matches including each of the last three.
Tapping into the clean sheets - we'll go Unders.
KEY OPTA STAT: Portsmouth have won just two of their last 11 away Football League games against Peterborough United (D4 L5) and have lost on each of their last three visits to London Road.
Burton have drawn five on the road and Exeter have seven stalemates at home, and the 23/103.30 price on the draw is one to boost the treble.
Exeter have drawn two of their last four and there wasn't much in the game earlier in the season with just the solitary goal separating the two.
The Grecians have won just one of their last six home league games (D3 L2), and could draw three successive home league games for the first time since January 2023, and those three draws is the area to tap into as I cannot consider backing the hosts at 11/102.11 for the win.
KEY OPTA STAT: Exeter City have won just one of their last eight Football League games against Burton Albion (D2 L5), failing to score in four of those matches.
League Two
Notts County's fall from grace is one of the alarming features of League Two this term and it's hard to think for a side that scored so many in the first-half of the season are now down to 17th.
They've lost five on the spin and seven of their last eight, and have been a soft touch in terms of conceding goals.
Macaulay Langstaff however does have 24 goals this season and he scored twice in the 3-1 win at Meadow Lane earlier the season. Neither side are solid propositions at all in the outrights, as Stanley have won just one of their last five home league games (D1 L3), failing to score in three of their last four such matches at the Wham Stadium. Stanley will be looking to avoid three consecutive home league outings without scoring for the first time since April 2019.
KEY OPTA STAT: Notts County have failed to win any of their last six away league games played on a Saturday (D1 L5), with their last two such outings on the road ending in 1-0 defeats.
Wrexham's 48 goals at the Racecourse this term is the most of any team in the division and for that reason Paul Mullin appeals to score this weekend as the hosts have to keep up their promotion hopes.
Wrexham have lost just two of their 14 home league games played on a Saturday this season (W10 D2), keeping four clean sheets across their last five such outings at the Racecourse Ground, and Mullin has five in his last four including a hat-trick against Accrington.
Tranmere Rovers have won just one of their last 18 away league games played on a Saturday (D4 L13), failing to keep a single clean sheet across that run and surely Mullin will get a chance to add to his tally.
KEY OPTA STAT: Tranmere Rovers have won each of their last two away Football League games against Wrexham, as many as in their prior 23 visits to the Racecourse Ground combined.
Mansfield are unbeaten in their last two away league games against Bradford City, they haven't gone three unbeaten in succession at Valley Parade since a run of three matches between February 1975 and January 1982.
With that in mind, the 13/102.30 looks fair on Nigel Clough's team as Bradford have had a poor season and even lost 0-2 at Valley Parade on Tuesday against lowly Forest Green. Although Mansfield themselves were losers on Tuesday.
The Bantams have lost just one of their last seven league games against Mansfield Town (W4 D2), scoring 2+ goals in three of those matches, though none of those have come at Valley Parade, but the Stags have won eight on the road this season and scored 37.
KEY OPTA STAT: Mansfield Town have lost three of their last eight away league games played on a Saturday (W4 D1), as many losses as in the Stags' 21 such matches prior.
