Mohammad Younus Khan, also known as Younis Khan, is a Pakistani cricketer and former captain of the Pakistan national cricket team, currently playing his domestic cricket with Habib Bank Limited and the Peshawar Panthers. Younus's name is often spelled 'Younis'.

A top-order batsman known for his ability to score big centuries, Younis was only the third Pakistani player to score 300 or more runs in an innings, scoring 313 against Sri Lanka in 2009. In the same year as his triple-hundred, Younis led Pakistan to the ICC World Twenty20 title, scoring 172 runs during the tournament to help the team win their first major title.
Younis Khan made his international debut in an ODI against Sri Lanka at Karachi in February 2000, going on to play in over 250 ODIs for Pakistan, scoring over 7000 runs, including 48 half-centuries and six hundreds, at an average of 31.88. Despite his achievements in the 50-over game, Younis never managed to transfer his form into the Twenty20 format, retiring from international T20 cricket in 2010 after scoring just two half-centuries in 25 appearances.
After making his Test debut in 2000 against Sri Lanka, Younis went on to make over 80 Test appearances for Pakistan. A number of political and personal issues have kept Younis from making many more Test appearances, including a three month ban from the Pakistan Cricket Board in 2010. During his time in the Test side, though, there have been very few Pakistani batsmen who have been as important to the team as Younis. Scoring over 7,000 runs at an average of over 50, Younis reached his 20th test match century against England in 2012.
Younis has been captain of Pakistan on a number of occasions over the years. He first led Pakistan against the West Indies in 2005 in Inzamam ul Haq's absence, and turned down the role when offered to him on a permanent basis a year later. Younis did eventually take the captain's job at the beginning of 2009 only to resign later that year due to a parliamentary investigation into match fixing that was alleged to have taken place during his time as captain. Following a tough couple of years, Younis returned to international cricket and wasted little time in showing he is still a world class batsman, scoring 111 against South Africa in 2013 before hitting a sensational unbeaten innings of 200 against Zimbabwe later that year.
