Jonny Bairstow is an international cricket player who represents England in the limited overs game and has featured in their Test side.

He was born in Bradford in 1989 and went on to sign for his home county Yorkshire in 2009 as a wicket-keeper batsman.
He has followed in his father's footsteps; David Bairstow also played for Yorkshire and England as a keeper.
The highlight of his international career so far came in 2012 when he scored 95 for the Three Lions in a Test match against South Africa at Lords.
In 2009, Bairstow signed a two-year professional contract with Yorkshire. He initially started out in the second XI but after making 202 against Leicestershire's equivalent, he was then promoted into the first team.
The Bradford-born man made his debut against Somerset where he made just 28, but then top scored with an unbeaten 82 in the second innings. He took four catches with the gloves when he replaced Gerard Brophy, who had to go off with an injury in that game.
Bairstow soon became a regular in the White Rose county side. He averaged over 40 in 2009 and 2010. Those performances led to the Yorkshire star being selected for the England Performance Programme squad. He toured with them to Australia in 2010/2011.
The young keeper scored his first century for Yorkshire in 2011 against Nottinghamshire early in the campaign. At the end of the season he had scored over 1000 runs, the only player in his side to do so.
Bairstow was given his debut in the England ODI team in September 2011 against India. It was the final game in the series in which the hosts were leading 2-0. The Yorkshireman helped the Three Lions to win by six wickets to wrap up the series 3-0. Along with Ravi Bopara, he got the home side over the line thanks to an unbeaten 41 from 29 deliveries.
In May 2012, Bairstow was given an opportunity to impress in England's Test squad for the summer series against West Indies. He came into the batting order at number six, which he has since gone on to make his own over the last couple of years.
The Yorkshire batsman was part of England's 3-0 Ashes series win in 2013. In the Second Test he hit 67 off 146 balls, helping the hosts assert a 2-0 lead.
