The Bathwick Tires Salutes Anthony Knott Handicap Hurdle over two miles at Wincanton on 4th December looks a race likely to throw up future winners, says Timeform.
Gary Moore's Olympian has put in good efforts on his last two starts this season and defied a 4 lb rise for his second at Plumpton on his penultimate outing when beating Oldrik by a nose. He drew clear with the runner-up from the last and just got up on the line. Given his style of running he should continue to prove of interest, even off his new mark under a penalty.
Oldrik has improved over hurdles this season. He boosted the form when winning at Huntingdon on Thursday and although due another rise in the weights for that is clearly in good heart at present and may still have more to offer.
Third-placed Double The Trouble was contesting a stronger race than previously as well as tackling heavy ground for the second time in his career. He could find no extra at the last having travelled comfortably but still finished clear of the rest and should not be long in finding a winning opportunity.
Its All About You shaped like a horse who still has improvement in him, travelling strongly for a long way but unable to quicken during the straight. It's possible that inexperience was still a factor, though he might also benefit from stepping up in trip. Given that he has raced only four times over hurdles and his fifth place behind Diamond Harry at Uttoxeter looks strong form, he is one to keep an eye on.
The sixth home Quizzene did the best of those to race prominently and might be able to pick up a race with his sights lowered.
Poseidon's Secret shaped better than the bare result and is another who should prove competitive in weaker handicaps than this.
