Timeform take a close look at the field for the TomMaloneBloodstock.com Novices' Handicap Hurdle (4)

Passato was impressive when winning here last week and can follow up in a weak contest. Handicap-debutant Players Please would be of some interest if keeping his temperament in check, while money for Fly With The Stars with his new headgear on could be interesting.

Players Please was a useful middle-distance performer on the Flat for Mark Johnston and could do much better over hurdles now handicapping. His attitude is perhaps not all it could be, however.

Passato was a winner on the Flat in Germany and got off the mark over hurdles with an impressive course and distance success last week. He escapes a penalty for that and has every chance of following up.

Lady Friend was a winner over a mile-and-a-quarter on the Flat in 2007 but has been generally regressive afterwards, and has not shown much over hurdle; Her jumping leaving plenty to be desired.

Tavalu has lost his way in no uncertain terms this season, looking ungenuine more often than not.

Fantastic Morning was a winner on the level as a three-year-old for Mark Johnston, but has made no impact over hurdles.

Where Now Madame has shown little sign of ability.

Cherryficial looks limited and makes appeal in only the weakest of races.

Fly With The Stars was twice placed up to a mile-and-a-half on the Flat. He has been well held all starts over hurdles, not looking straightforward, and the application of blinkers/tongue tie looks to be a final throw of the dice by connections.
