"Monsieur Chevalier has been successful on six of seven starts (badly hampered only defeat), with his latest win coming in a Group 3 at Goodwood at the end of last month. He will stay six furlongs and is a leading contender again."
Pattern-race form is represented by Monsieur Chevalier and Orpen Grey, both of whom are likely to go well, but Showcasing has looked highly promising on both starts, following a second to Arcano with an easy win at Yarmouth, and can take the step up in class in his stride., says Timeform.
Corporal Maddox came late to land a listed race at Epsom in June and ran creditably when third in Group races at Chantilly and Goodwood since. Likely to find one too good again.
Falasteen overcame inexperience when winning a maiden here on debut. He improved when second to Singeur at Musselburgh next time but a further big step forward is required to figure here.
Monsieur Chevalier has been successful on six of seven starts (badly hampered only defeat), with his latest win coming in a Group 3 at Goodwood at the end of last month. He will stay six furlongs and is a leading contender again.
Mr David confirmed debut promise when justifying favouritism in a maiden at Newmarket last month. He will do better but a lot more is required to get involved here.
Orpen Grey is a smart and progressive performer. He followed 2 wins with a very good second to Arcano in the July Stakes at Newmarket last time and should go well again.
Reignier progressed a bit more when two lengths second to Radiohead in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot. He has had limitations exposed in stronger races since and looks up against it again.
Showcasing got close to subsequent Group winner Arcano on debut (raced worked out well) and made no mistake at Yarmouth next time. He is a smart prospect who looks sure to make his presence felt at this level.
Taajub confirmed debut promise when readily landing odds in a Newmarket maiden last time. Shrewd stable wasting no time stepping him up in class here and likely he has plenty more improvement in him.
