Timeform run the rule over the William Hill Homecoming handicap...
The shorter trip here might see Sir Royal bounce back to form, but Sunnyside Tom and Ergo come here in top form and the latter, who was always cruising at Hamilton last time, can make it four wins from his last five starts.
Obe Brave was a useful performer in his youth and still retained enough ability to win a couple of claimers for Richard Fahey last term. He is back up in trip on his first run for a new stable and others are preferred.
Sunnyside Tom was twice successful at Musselburgh in 2008 and looked back to his best when victorious at Carlisle on Monday. He has a penalty to overcome here but should give another bold showing.
Esoterica is a consistent handicapper who was better than ever in 2008, winning here and at York. There was plenty more encouragement at Doncaster last time and he looks on a good mark again now.
Sir Royal was progressive in the mud in 2008. He was well backed on his reappearance but did far too much early on and was also too keen last time; this drop in trip needs to help if he is to fulfil his undoubted potential.
Ergo has come out all guns blazing this year, he has twice won over nine furlongs at Wolverhampton and then was always travelling best at Hamilton last time. He seems to be thriving at present and may do better still.
Cigalas was lightly raced in 2008, but did make all to win a seven furlong maiden at Warwick by six lengths. He has shown little for his new stable though and is easy enough to swerve for now.
Talk Of Saafend won four claimers in 2008 for Richard Hannon and ran well on her debut for this yard on her final outing last year. She has shown little this year, but has dropped in the weights as a consequence and is worth a look in the market.
Primo Way looks to have claims on the pick of his form for his previous stable but his new yard doesn't have many winners and he looks opposable once more.

This looks a good opportunity for Vertigo On Course, a fast-finishing third at Southwell last week. Young Dottie's success last month is working out well and she also makes appeal, while each-way players could do worse than side with Toolentidhaar....
