Ripon Champion Two-Year-Old Trophy(Listed) (1)
A red-hot renewal with Stargaze just getting the nod having run so well when third in a Group 2 event last time#. Skylla has speed to burn and looks a major threat, while Exotic Beauty is arguably best of the three juveniles who have already won here. Arabian Pride made the frame first 4 starts prior to a brave all-the-way win at Newmarket last time, all starts over 6f. Up in class here and, despite battling qualities, other boast stronger claims.
Businessman is a tall colt who looks the business. Made all to collect on York debut, not making things easy for himself by hanging badly left. Straight up in class here, but the sort to take it in his long stride.
Di Sefano is a speedy sort who won over 5f here in June. Twice placed since in listed events before met trouble at York last time. Now tried in a visor, and yard also run Exotic Beauty.
Hold Your Colour looked a different gear for the 3 months off and gelding since debut, powering clear of his rivals over course and distance a few days ago. Considerable frame houses a good engine and more to come.
Stargaze is a progressive colt. Successful at Lingfield and Bath, both over 5f. Improved when third in 6f Group 2 Richmond Stakes at Goodwood and the form pick by a whisker here (goes back down in class).
Breathless Kiss is precociously bred and didn't let the family down, responding well to score on 5f debut. Open to improvement and longer trip another bonus, but has to prove she possesses the class required.
Exotic Beauty's best effort yet came when making all to keep 3 previous winners at bay in conditions event over course and distance last time. This is even tougher, but she's still in with a shout. Stable also run Di Stefano.
Skylla is a speedy front runner, successful in maiden at Nottingham and Haydock nursery last time (only beaten a neck over this trip in between). Has played up before her races but useful sprinting 2-y-o.
