Confidence is often the key with sprinters and while Jaconet is in such terrific heart it might prove unwise to oppose her. Rothesay Dancer had to settle for fourth spot behind the selection at Musselburgh last time, but could well get closer on 5-lb better terms. Judged by the promising comeback of Gap Princess, she might be hard on the heels of that in-form pair.
Jaconet looks a sprinter to follow this year judged on her improved efforts when winning back-to-back handicaps at Wolverhampton and Musselburgh. She still holds plenty of aces despite latest 5lb rise.
Mango Music is a prominent runner who's better on turf than all-weather. She was below form on her reappearance and others that are in better form make more appeal.
Rothesay Dancer is an admirable mare who is better than ever this year. Her latest fourth to Jaconet at Musselburgh leaves her with a bit to find with that rival, but she has a chance of revenge on 5-lb better terms.
Wibbadune thrived in 2008, her five wins including three on turf, though her tendency to throw in a dire effort became more frequent as the year went on. She was not at her best this year and ran a real stinker last time.
Nomoreblondes was consistent in the main last term and is better than ever this year, winning at Musselburgh and back to form when length third to Kyzer Chief at Ripon. She often forces the pace, but can be a weak finisher.
Gap Princess is a consistent mare who is best at six/seven-furlongs. She shaped well on her return over this course and distance, finishing well from a poor position under hands and heels. Her stable form also gives rise to significant hope.
Josphiel is still a maiden and didn't show anything in Ireland last year to suggest she could win on her British debut. She has left Miss S Collins.
Dispol Kylie is a speedy front-runner who has raced only at five-furlongs. She won three times last year but has been well held both starts this year. Others are in better form.
