Qozak was a leading performer in non-thoroughbred Flat races in France, successful four times and third in the Grand Prix des AQPS at Longchamp in September, and he made a most promising start over hurdles at Newbury on December 17th#. Trained by Paul Nicholls, the latest recruit of the Barber/Findlay partnership found only the more experienced Cracboumwiz too good, just losing out in a tight finish having looked to have taken his measure at the last.
