Wayne Bailey with the best betting opportunities, as evening racing returns to the County Louth venue...

6:10 - Ulster Bank NE Business Centre Maiden

Tonight's eight-race card kicks off with a difficult maiden and a decent case could be made for three or four of these horses. Brown Vixen was looking like an improver when running up a string of places, but she ran below form last time out here and connections are hoping she simply had an off day. If she's back to normal, she should manage a place. Rain Delayed gets the vote in the win market. He's had three career runs, all at Dundalk, and improved with each race. Last time out, he hit the crossbar, but he can make amends tonight.

Advice: Back Rain Delayed to win, back Brown Vixen to place.

6:40 - O'Cofaigh Construction Ltd Handicap

Triple Axel has been chalked in as the forecast favourite by a number of odds compilers, and she's sure to have support after an impressive performance at the Curragh last time out. However, there are two catching my eye here that I can't seem to separate, so I'm not going to make that decision and will dutch both. Titus Academy always performs well here and the change of trainer may be just the trick, while Doorock seems treated fairly in the weights considering some recent good performances.

Advice: Titus Academy and Doorock

7:10 - Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Handicap

Had you backed every Ger Lyons trained horse at Dundalk that had Murtagh on board, you'd have had 16 winners from 37 bets and shown a profit of over €430 to €10 stakes. Killinan can follow this trend and is expected to return to form this evening. She's more than capable of taking a race like this and I'll have her on my side in both the win and place markets. Regaleya may have come ahead of my selection at Dundalk before, but she doesn't look like improving any time soon and her best days may be behind her.
Advice: Back Killinan to win and place, lay Regaleya to place.

7:40 - Carlingford Stakes (Listed Race)

The feature race of the night is proving to be a tough little puzzle, but Monteriggioni seems overpriced in the early markets, and may come good at a nice price after some decent performances on the Polytrack thus far. It's interesting to see Sir Mark Prescott send Soft Morning over for this, and I'll keep her on my side in the place market, albeit at a restrictive price.

Advice: Back Monteriggioni to win and place, back Soft Morning to place.

8:10 - Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden

OK, it's not very original, but Sirgarfieldsobers is the obvious choice to land the prize for Aidan O'Brien. A full brother to Authorised, he disappointed on his Leopardstown debut but atoned for that run somewhat when coming second to stablemate Fame and Glory at Navan last month. He's a likely improver and should be able to take this race tonight.

Advice: Back Sirgarfieldsobers to win.

8:40 - F C & M Cold Stores Nursery

She's likely to go off as favourite, but Little Bug can notch up her first career win in a relatively weak contest for Noel Meade and Johnny Murtagh. She performed well on the Polytrack the last time she made the trip to Dundalk, and subsequently ran well at Leopardstown. She can go one better tonight and I'd be surprised if she's not placed at the very least.

Advice: Back Little Bug to win and place.

9:10 - ABB/YEC Handicap

John Oxx is another trainer to watch at Dundalk, and Lidana is said to be working well at home and should be primed for this contest. Desert Mile looks like the big danger, but in truth, it's not a punter friendly race so stakes should be kept to a minimum.

Advice: Back Lidana to place (small stakes).

9:40 - Oriel INH Flat Race

It might seem like a lazy choice, but Granaruid looks the sort to take a bumper here after coming third in such a race last time out two weeks ago. There's a lot of guesswork involved in these races, but High Amenity is the obvious danger and looks like an improver. The market should prove interesting, but again, this is not a race for big-time punting.

Advice: Back Granaruid to win (small stakes).
