Epsom, 18.22 - Back Dream Composer each-way @ 10/34.33

Master trainer Tony Carroll is already closing in on a century of winners for the calendar year and the likeable Dream Composer could add to that tally in this handicap.

Admittedly, the eight-year-old has appeared happier over five furlongs of late, including when successful at both Ripon in the spring and at Windsor last month when prevailing by the minimum margin.

I was present at Goodwood back in May when he should arguably have landed the handicap won by Seven Questions and he showcased he remains in good form a fortnight later when finishing seventh in the Dash on Derby Day from a moderate draw.

Regular rider Dougie Costello (6-26 aboard the selection) again gets the call and, with his handler still rattling along at a terrific strike rate, Dream Composer is worth chancing to translate his recent level of five furlong form to six in this event.

Epsom, 20.42 - Back Musical Angel each-way @ 15/44.75

This Class 4 finale represents a sizeable drop in class for Musical Angel following her commendable effort in a well-contested course and distance handicap on Oaks day.

Although beaten eight lengths by the talented Colombier and Zarathos, there was more than four lengths back to the third home A War Eagle which reflected well on the selection who tried to make all that day in spite of a large field, yet stuck to her task when she was overhauled at the furlong marker.

The Dark angel filly slips back in to this grade today and returns to the scene of that performance and a track where she scored for previous trainer Andrew Balding.

New handler Simon Dow should be getting to grips with Musical Angel following a couple of promising spins for the stable and she ought to give a good account of herself.
