Mouthwatering match-ups in opening round
The NFL season gets underway on Thursday night (or 01:20am Friday UK time) as the current Super Bowl Champions the Kansas City Chiefs host the Detroit Lions. The Lions ended the season well and are many people's pick as dark horses for a long run in the play-offs.
The first Sunday of the season is full of mouth-watering matchups like the Cincinnati Bengals @ Cleveland Browns, LA Rams @ Seattle Seahawks and the start of Green Bay era without Aaron Rodgers as the Packers head to the Bears.

So, what are the types of markets you can include in your NFL Bet Builder?
Spread
Probably the most popular betting market in football, NFL spread betting is pretty simple. One team (the favourite) must win by a certain number of points. If they do, the favourite is said to have "covered" the point spread.
Moneyline
Take the spread out and just pick who will win the game. Especially good for games where the spread is under three and you not willing to take a chance.
Over/Under total points
Not willing to pick a winner? You don't have to, with the over/under you are betting on how many combined points will be scored in a given game.
Watch out for the weather in this one. Snow and high winds tend to lead to low scoring games.
Player passing yards
This bet only apples to the two starting Quarterbacks. The bet is on how many yards the player will throw in the game.

Yards made by running backs after a hand off will not count.
Player rushing yards
Applies to both the running backs and Quarter Backs (although some QB's will not run!).
The bet is how many yards will the player run for during the game.
Player receiving yards
How many yards will a given wide receiver get in the game. It is always good to look out at who is the quarterback's first choice receiver as he will be the one to get the ball the most.
Touchdown bets
Much like goalscorer markets in football there are a variety of ways to play in the touchdown markets. The most popular would be the first, last and anytime scorer markets.

You can back any wide receiver, running back or quarterback to score.
Sack betting
It's not just offences you can bet on in Bet Builders. Sack betting is where you back a player on the defensive end of the game to sack a quarter-back.
If two players are involved in the sacking of a quarter back they receive a half a sack officially.
