Super Bowl 2024: San Francisco are favourites as play-offs begin

San Francisco 49ers are 9/43.25 favourites on the Betfair Sportsbook to win next month's Super Bowl.

The NFL season finale will be played at the Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas on 11 February and, a snapshot of the betting at the start of the postseason, shows the Niners are fancied to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the first time since 1995.

They ended the 18-game regular season with a 21-20 defeat to Los Angeles Rams - who have a home Wild Card clash against Detroit - yesterday but still finished top of the NFC West.

As the number team in the NFC, they don't have to play in the Wild Card so they get a weekend off and have automatically reached the divisional round.

Kyle Shanahan's outfit are 8/111.73 to win the NFC Conference but a word of warning - optimism has been high about San Francisco before and they have fallen short.

Last year they lost the Conference decider to the Philadelphia Eagles who were in turn defeated by Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

Baltimore Ravens 10/34.33 are the second favourites in the Betfair Sportsbook Super Bowl outright winner market. They topped the AFC North and, as the best-performing team in the AFC Conference, received a bye to advance to the divisional round.

Defending champions Kansas City Chiefs 9/110.00 finished at top of the AFC West.

The Chiefs host the Mimai Dolphins in the Wild Card Round of the play-offs on Sunday and are odds-on to win. The Betfair Sportsbook prices in outright winner market, however, make Travis Kelce and co. outsiders to win a consecutive Super Bowl.

Bills 13/2 to end Super Bowl win wait

The Buffalo Bills are 13/27.50 third favourites to end their long wait for a Super Bowl.

They booked their place in the play-offs by beating the Dolphins on Sunday and won the AFC East.

Josh Allen and his teammates now have to get past Pittsburgh Steelers - the biggest price of any team for the Super Bowl at 100/1101.00 - this weekend.

Dallas Cowboys 15/28.50 also have their supporters among punters and are 2/71.29 to beat the Green Bay Packers who go to Texas on Sunday.

The play-offs begin in the Lone Star state on Saturday night when Houston Texans host the Cleveland Browns.

The round will be completed in the early hours of Tuesday morning (UK time) when the Eagles - 14/115.00 to add to their sole Super Bowl success - take on the Buccaneers in Tampa.
