Harden could make his Nets debut

The Nets pulled off a mega trade in the week and we could see James Harden make his debut tonight. He is one of the very best players in the league and has lead the league in scoring in each of the past three seasons. He joins back up with his former Thunder teammate Kevin Durant to form arguably the most talented trio in the league when Kyrie Irving decides to turn back up. There will be a lot of intrigue around how they will play together but a team that was already playing some of the best offence in the league adding one of the best scorers of his generation is dangerous for the rest of the NBA.

Defensively the Nets do not match up to their third ranked offence. They are allowing 112.9 points per game - 22nd in the league - but with Durant and Harden they are going to be capable of outscoring even the best offences every time they step on the court.

Magic's record doesn't match up

The Magic have had a strange season. At 6-6 they have got off to a strong start, but they are not playing that well. Offensively they are one of the worst in the league - not ideal going up against the Nets - and defensively they have been average at best. On the road they struggle even more. They have managed to get to a 3-2 road record despite a -5 point differential. They give up a massive 116.8 points per game on the road and that is going to catch up to them soon, and probably tonight.

Nets to put on a show

On James Harden's likely debut I would expect Brooklyn to put on a show. Durant has been in great form and it shouldn't take him too long to rediscover the chemistry with Harden. The Magic just do not have the offence capable of keeping up with the Nets and their poor road form will start to show in their record soon.
