The son of Candy Ride won a maiden special weight by 5½ lengths at Saratoga before finishing second by a similar distance when second in a stakes contest there last time. Arctic Arrogance also won a maiden special weight at that course on debut and posted a good time but may have to settle for second best here.

Brienne of Tarth (Woodbine R3, 22:52 BST) has gradually improved and looks the one to beat in this maiden claimer. She gets class relief here and it should take something special to beat her if she matches her previous best on the speedfigures. Hushmeup also gets class relief and has a top jockey in the saddle and is taken to get second.
