Youarenotforgiven going for third C/D win
Somerset trainer Richard Mitford-Slade has sent out just two horses this season, but he may well be able to upstage representatives of much bigger yards with Fat Faced Columbo in the novices' handicap chase at his local track of Taunton.
Runner-up in his completed start in Irish points, Fat Faced Columbo made the frame in his two runs over hurdles at Ffos Las last season which qualified him for a handicap mark. He therefore reappeared this season in a three-mile novices' handicap chase at Exeter last month and shaped well, earning the 'Horses For Courses' flag as he went down by a short head to another chasing debutant, Special John, with the pair pulling clear.
Fat Faced Columbo has been raised 6 lb for that narrow defeat, but he is open to improvement and still looks on a good mark, heading the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings, while the Exeter form has received a boost too, with the winner following up since at Wincanton.

The weights in Haydock's Last Fling Handicap Chase are headed by former Grand National runner-up Vanillier but it may be worth taking a chance on Egbert who isn't the most straightforward of individuals but does boast a good win at the track just over a year ago which earned him the 'Horses For Courses' flag.
That came in the Tommy Whittle Handicap Chase where Egbert typically raced lazily and looked held on the home turn but rallied in the straight and ended up being well on top at the finish.
Only 3 lb higher now, Egbert hasn't run since pulling up in the Midlands Grand National in March, which was also his final start with Alan King, but he has won first time out in the past, and he has joined Christian Williams since last season whose yard is going well with three winners from its last four runners.

Youarenotforgiven looks to have plenty going for him in his bid for a third course-and-distance success at Wolverhampton in recent months. He capitalised on a drop in grade and a falling mark to gain a first all-weather win in September and the following month had a head to spare over a couple of dead-heaters when successful from a 5 lb higher mark.
He was back at Wolverhampton again earlier this month and looked unlucky not to finish closer or maybe register another course win, as he had to be snatched up in the final furlong when not getting a clear run before running on late for third behind Monty Beau, earning the 'Horse In Focus' flag.
Running off the same mark here - also the one he won from in October - Youarenotforgiven heads the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings. The form of his stable is another point in his favour with Tony Carroll having the 'Hot Trainer' flag.
