Top-rated (with a 'small p') Kaka's Cousin could be on a very handy mark for his handicap bow and he gets the nod in a typically competitive renewal.
Jonjo O'Neill knows how to win this race with a classy sort, having won it with Albertas Run back in 2007, and Kaka's Cousin has made a similarly impressive start to his own career.
The six-year-old, one of three Horses In Focus in the race, has won hurdling events at Catterick and Kelso (by 8½ lengths from Kocktail Bleu), and this BHA mark of 126 should be within reach for this Mahler gelding who is from the family of the top-class Oscar Whisky.

The 3B Crane Hire Handicap Hurdle (For The Craigie Cup) has been kind to Lucinda Russell, with the five-year-old Traprain Law and 12-year-old Thereisnodoubt landing the 2023 and 2025 renewals for the yard.
This year's race sees the stable represented by two runners, and while French recruit Litleangel Duseuil is of some interest if the betting speaks in her favour, the pick looks to be Triple Crown Ted.
The six-year-old is more familiar to racegoers on these shores having won two of his last three starts, both at Kelso. He caught the eye of the Timeform reporters with the rapid headway he made to lead after two out on the most recent occasion, picking up the 'Horse In Focus' flag, and he also has the 'Horses For Courses' flag having run well here in both bumpers and also over hurdles in-between his Kelso victories.

Despite being a beaten 2/1 favourite, the expensive purchase Inspired shaped better than the bare result when third on his handicap debut at Newcastle three weeks ago, his early keenness telling at the business end.
However, that effort highlighted he's on a good BHA mark (79) and he may be up to proving as much down to seven furlongs, especially with the likes of Elements Of Fire (a good acquisition for the Archie Watson stable) and Epictetus likely to give him a good tow into the race.
With Karl Burke in good form (Timeform 'Hot Trainer' flag), this first foal of the Dahlia Stakes winner Worth Waiting is worth another chance.
