Kentucky Beach was beaten a long way in sixth when sent off favourite at Tramore last time, but he was running without the tongue strap he'd worn when runner-up at Gowran and Fairyhouse on his two previous starts in handicaps and its absence offers an excuse for the disappointing display.
Unsurprisingly, Kentucky Beach will be wearing the tongue tie again on Monday and he looks worth another chance based on the form of his placed efforts on his first two starts this season. He was denied by only a neck on his handicap debut at Gowran and then ran at least as well when finding only an unexposed improver too strong in a big field at Fairyhouse.
The form he showed at Fairyhouse places him 4 lb clear at the head of Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings for this conditions hurdle so this looks like a good opportunity to bounce back.

Wolfburg had been struggling for form but bounced back when fitted with cheekpieces and a tongue tie for the first time at Wetherby in December, running out an emphatic nine-and-a-half-length winner.
Wolfburg looked likely to back up that victory when looming up going well early in the straight at Catterick last time, but he failed to find as much as anticipated, leaving the impression he didn't stay the much longer trip.
The way Wolfburg moved through that contest suggests that he's still on a fair mark, and he was awarded the Horse In Focus Flag to highlight him as one likely to be of firm interest next time. He heads Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings by 4 lb based on his Wetherby effort and will benefit from dropping back in trip to around two and a half miles.

Nammos failed to win for Jane Chapple-Hyam and Adrian McGuinness in 2025, but she fell in the weights as a consequence so has started out for James Owen off a much-reduced mark.
She failed to make an immediate impact on her stable debut when finishing only seventh at Southwell on Wednesday, but the yard's recruits don't always hit the ground running and Nammos could prove sharper for that first start in three months.
Nammos is also fitted with a visor for the first time, which could help bring about a bigger effort, and she looks worth another chance to capitalise on a lowly mark - she heads Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings by 3 lb based on the pick of her efforts last season.
