Timeform highlight three horses of interest at Lingfield and Ayr on Tuesday...

13:18, Lingfield - Consistent Profit Street back up in trip

Profit Street has been a notably consistent perfomer on the all-weather this winter since joining James Owen and running in a visor, and he looks capable of winning a second race for current connections at Lingfield.

Previously successful in a 0-55 contest at Wolverhampton in December, Profit Street has made the frame in all five of his starts since, and with the handicapper showing him a bit of leniency, he gets back into that lower grade now and is reunited with Luke Morris who partnered him to that victory.

Profit Street wasn't seen to best effect on his last run at Southwell when not settling properly after failing to get any cover out wide but stuck to his task in finishing fourth behind Betties Bay. Heading the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings by a couple of pounds, Profit Street returns to seven furlongs here, a distance he won over for his previous stable, and he looks the one to beat.

14:35, Ayr - Apache Tribe a wide-margin bumper winner last time

Ayr's maiden hurdle looks an interesting race, with four of the runners making the journey over from Ireland. The one who appeals most among the visitors is Apache Tribe whose trainer Noel Kelly is no stranger to success with his runners in Britain and has already had a couple of winners at Hexham and Perth earlier this season.

A winning pointer, Apache Tribe makes his debut over hurdles here after a couple of runs in bumpers. He fared best of the newcomers when fifth at the Galway Festival and then relished an extra half-mile when running away with a weaker race at Listowel in September.

The strong-galloping Apache Tribe led on the bridle on the home turn before powering clear to win by 16 lengths, earning himself the 'Horse In Focus' flag. Held in some regard judging from his entry in the Albert Bartlett at the Cheltenham Festival, he looks a most interesting hurdles debutant.

15:05, Ayr - Ratings pick Big Stage ready to strike

Gordon Elliott sends a strong team to Ayr where all four of his runners will be partnered by Sean Bowen. Both trainer and jockey are going great guns this season and have been notably successful when teaming up in Britain this term, having a 50% strike rate with 11 winners from 22 runners.

Among Bowen's top-rated rides for Elliott at Ayr is Big Stage who is 3 lb clear in the ratings in the two-mile handicap chase. While he is a winning pointer and has also been successful over hurdles, Big Stage is still seeking a first win over fences. However, he has been coming down the weights and ran his best race for a while in first-time cheekpieces (replaced by blinkers here) when fourth in a competitive event at Punchestown on New Year's Eve won by Sammy Smart.

Big Stage does have an 'x' on his rating, indicating that he's prone to mistakes, though it's encouraging that he has avoided any serious errors in his last couple of runs and he looks ready to strike now.
