Aguellid looks a fascinating prospect from the 'Hot Trainer' stable of Philip Hobbs and Johnson White stable and carrying J. P. McManus's colours. He had one run over hurdles in France for Daniela Mele, finishing fourth in a newcomers' event at Auteuil in September 2024 which has thrown up some above-average winners.
Aguellid reappeared at Exeter in November with a most eye-catching run, not given at all a hard race in keeping with his comeback after more than a year's absence. Despite racing keenly in rear and a mistake at the last, he still finished with plenty of running left to take third behind his owner's other runner Harry Lowes who won impressively.
With the 'large P' symbol on his rating as well as the 'Horse In Focus' flag, Aguellid can be expected to improve markedly fitted with a first-time hood to help him settle.

Sean Mc looks well placed to get off the mark in the novices' handicap hurdle at Punchestown, a race that looks less competitive than its field size suggests. Trained by Paul Nolan, Sean Mc made little impact in maiden hurdles last season but has started to find his feet in handicaps this term.
He showed clear progress from his seasonal return at Punchestown to finish second at Fairyhouse last time. Strongly supported in a big field, Sean Mc was unable to catch the front-running Run For Cover, who has won again since, but he pulled upwards of ten lengths clear of the rest.
Partnered again by Eoin Staples, who has made a smooth switch from the amateur ranks and has ridden out his 7 lb claim since Fairyhouse, Sean Mc, who heads the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings, looks sure to improve further.

David O'Meara enjoyed a red-hot spell in December, sending out eight winners in little over two weeks and while he has yet to strike in the New Year, his yard is still performing well, earning the 'Hot Trainer' flag.
Flowstate, one of those recent winners, could be the horse to kick-start 2026 for the stable in Wolverhampton's seven-furlong handicap. He has been notably consistent of late, finishing in the frame on his last six starts, and gained a deserved success at Newcastle in December on his first attempt at this trip.
Sticking to seven furlongs, Flowstate ran another solid race at Wolverhampton last time, finishing a couple of necks behind Nacho Nacho Nacho after making his effort wide entering the straight. He meets that rival on 2 lb better terms here, and with his opponent beaten since, Flowstate heads the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings and looks capable of reversing the form.
