Ridgeway prepared for a Naas battle

Improving gelding could prove the answer again

Believe in Borgi to hand Dunstall foes a beating
Naas will need some assistance from the weather gods to go ahead on Friday, but if the rearranged card does get the green light then Battle Of Ridgeway could be a benficiary.
The prospect of deep ground should hold no terrors for Martin Hassett's gelding who sluiced through testing conditions at Navan before Christmas to land a competitive handicap chase with authority.
The handicapper had his say, raising the selection 9lb for the comfortable defeat of May Call You Back who was put in his place by Battle Of Ridgeway who lengthened smoothly away from his chief rival after jumping the last fence.
If Hassett's gelding is in anywhere near the same form then he could be tough to resist with conditions likely to suit.

It has been a while between drinks for Borgi, but this Class 4 handicap represents a good chance for the seven-year-old to begin the New Year with a bang.
Five starts at Dunstall Park have yielded the form figures 12154 and a 34-day break from the track fits well with the selection's best performances when rested as he has won three of his five starts when returning to the track following an absence of between 28 and 38 days (he was beaten a neck in second on another occasion).
The handicapp Borgi contested last time has produced winners in the shape of Zryan (fifth) and Rajapour (ninth) and, with the Sportsbook offering four places, Sean Woods' gelding is worth playing each-way to post another good effort at one of his favoured venues.
